This library comprises of huge volumes of encyclopaedias , 18th century books ,novels and collection of various books at international level in various languages. this library also allows outsiders/visitors to read books. The entire building is two floor layout with a huge reading hall in both the floors. The Library has INFLIBNET subscription. All the students and faculty have enrolled in INFLIBNET. Books, Journals can be accessed through INFLIBNET.
The library provides access to all the faculty and students of this college. The library has separate archives of Self Study Reports (SSR)/Re- Accreditation Reports (RAR) of previous cycles, Internal Quality Assurance Cell Reports (IQAC) of previous years and Peer team Documents of NAAC previous cycle. It is a valuable reference material for the faculty members.
Library OPAC ( On Line Public Access Catelogue) replace the print card catelogue. OPAC offer a range of features such as placing holds renewing borrowed materials and accessing personal library accounts.
SOUL 3.0 software is updated in the computer system.
Cataloging is most important module of LMS from the point of view of information in SOUL 3.0.
Bibliographic details, such as,title, author, published edition, ISBN, etc. are able to enter. Once this information saved, record is generated. Records can be added using online copy cataloging. The SOUL, an acquisition module, provides a way for the library to record orders placed with vendors and manage purchase budget.
Students and faculty members are encouraged to register in the INFLIBNET and recieve library card for book lending purpose.
The library remains open on all working days from 9.30 A.M. to 4. 30 P.M.
The College Library has a large collection of books on different courses.
